School Election Precinct Changes

According to the State of Michigan consolidated election legislation that was passed in 2004, “all local school district elections, intermediate school elections and community college district elections will be administrated by Michigan’s county, city or township clerks.”

According to Clerk Linda Way, this means that Wright Township voters will now vote for school elections at the same place they vote for general elections at specific time each year.

In an effort to make voting simple the only noticeable change will be voters located west of 24th Avenue. Everyone located south of I-96 and east of 48th will now vote at Precinct 2 located at 1565 Jackson Street in the Township offices behind the fire station. See map for more details.

Precinct 1 – 2040 Cleveland
Precinct 2 – 1565 Jackson St., township Offices located behind the fire station.
